A little bit about me...

I am a Philadelphia-based freelance writer and fact-checker.

Born and raised in a small town in central New Jersey (if you believe in central Jersey), I attended Red Bank Regional High School, where I attended the academy of Information Technology. In 2019, I moved to Philadelphia to attend Drexel University as part of its cybersecurity program. Despite a natural inclination for IT work, I quickly decided to chase my passion for writing and political science by changing my major. I had the honor of making the Dean's list at Drexel since 2020. I've also lucky enough to have been involved in clubs like PRSSA and had served as VP of the Drexel Democrats. In December 2022, I completed my undergraduate degree with Drexel's College of Arts and Sciences, including a minor in communications.

In the summer of 2021 I was hired by the Philadelphia Inquirer as a seasonal freelance fact-checker, and have continued in this position ever since. As I aspire to broaden my career as a writer, I have been given the opportunity to expand my work portfolio from fact-checker to include pitching and writing articles of my own. My to date has focused heavily on food and service journalism. In the future, it is my goal to produce explanatory journalism about the environment and domestic political affairs.

When I'm not in school or working, I enjoy writing poetry, painting, cooking, and hiking.
